Brentwood Elementary School

Principals' Welcome Message

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We hope your family has had a wonderful summer and found time to relax, recharge, and make some great memories together.

We are so excited to begin this school year as one Brentwood Elementary community. While we will begin the year at our Elroy and Moore campuses, our commitment is the same across both buildings: creating a school where every child feels welcomed, supported, challenged, and excited to learn.

This year, our work will be guided by the four pillars of Brentwood Elementary:

Care & Belonging
A learning community where everyone is cared for, belongs, and contributes.
Relationships Matter
Connection fuels our community.
Learning Happens When Thinking Happens
Learning grows through curiosity, deep thinking, problem solving, and reflection.
Creativity & Innovation
Imagination fuels our learning—every idea has the power to spark something new.

We also look forward to introducing Sparty the Owl and our schoolwide PBIS expectations:

I am Safe. I am Kind. I am Responsible. I will Persevere.

These expectations will help create consistency for our students throughout their day while encouraging them to make positive choices, take responsibility, work through challenges, and contribute to our school community.

Most importantly, we want this to be a great year for our kids. We want them to learn, grow, ask questions, make friends, try new things, make mistakes, solve problems, and discover just how much they are capable of doing.

We know that a strong school community includes our families, too. Please never hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, or celebrations throughout the year. We value your partnership and look forward to working together to make this a successful year for every Brentwood Elementary student.

We can't wait to see our students on Tuesday, September 8 and officially begin our first year together as Brentwood Elementary!

Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year!!

Warmly,

Mrs. Jennifer Zunic & Dr. Bonnie Betler

United Way 211 Program

A 24/7/365 LIFELINE FOR FAMILIES IN CRISIS. If you or someone in your life is overwhelmed by a crisis and don’t know where to turn, help is as close as United Way’s PA 211. Our highly trained Resource Navigators receive hundreds of requests every day via phone, text or online and help connect people with answers and quality resources in their area. They help untangle the problems that have led to the crisis, and work with the individual to find real solutions and help avoid even larger issues. Now in its second decade of service, PA 211 also provides United Way with a wealth of actionable data which helps forecast growing areas of need and provide insight on how to proactively invest in programs that keep crises from happening in the first place.
