Welcome incoming kindergarten students, parents and guardians! Any child that is 5 on or before September 1 of the up-coming school year is able to enroll. Families that would like assistance in determining if their 5 year old child is ready to enroll in kindergarten should contact the Moore elementary office to schedule a kindergarten readiness assessment. An enrollment assessment is not required and is only to assist those families who are considering waiting until their child is older to start kindergarten.
Please open the attached file and fill out the paperwork to begin the enrollment process. If you need a paper copy, you are welcome to stop by the school office to pick one up. After completing the paperwork you should call Dr. Winiarski at 412-881-2227 x2215 to schedule an appointment. During your scheduled appointment you will be required to provide documentation showing that you reside in the Brentwood Borough School District (please refer to the Registration Checklist in the packet for details on which documents are accepted), your child’s birth certificate and immunization records. After all documentation is submitted and verified by Dr. Winiarski, parents/guardians will receive information about our kindergarten program. Families will be invited to tour the school and meet the teachers before the start of the school year.
Incoming kindergarten students will be scheduled for an assessment prior to the start of school. The assessment helps us to gauge your child’s current knowledge and understanding of letters and numbers. Those assessments will be conducted during the week of August 5, 2019.
