Comprehensive School Counseling Program

ASCA National Model Diamond

Brentwood Middle School’s counseling program is based on the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. The school counseling program is comprehensive in nature and focuses on three domains of student development: academic, career, and social/emotional. These domains are addressed both directly and indirectly with students through a multitude of modalities including school counseling core curriculum lessons, individual and small group counseling, individual student planning, and other student programming. The program also emphasizes collaboration and coordination with the building’s teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student success.

The Brentwood Middle/High School Counseling Department provides a comprehensive school counseling program that will assist students to become effective learners, responsible citizens, and productive members of the workforce. The school counseling program addresses the academic, career, and social/emotional needs of the students and is committed to supporting the unique abilities of each student.
