Brentwood Elementary School’s counseling program is based on the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. The school counseling program is comprehensive in nature and focuses on three domains of student development: academic, career, and social/emotional. These domains are addressed both directly and indirectly with students through a multitude of modalities including school counseling core curriculum lessons, individual and small group counseling, individual student planning, and other student programming. The program also emphasizes collaboration and coordination with the building’s teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student success.
